റെയില്‍വേ വരുമാനം വര്‍ദ്ധിച്ചു; യാത്രക്കാരുടെ എണ്ണത്തില്‍ കുറവ്

ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: 2013 ഏപ്രില്‍ ഒന്നു മുതല്‍ ഒക്‌ടോബര്‍ 31 വരെയുള്ള കാലയളവില്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ റെയില്‍വേ 77235.64 കോടി രൂപ വരുമാനമുണ്ടാക്കി. കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷം ഇതേ കാലയളവിലെ വരുമാനമായ 68634.26 കോടി രൂപയുമായി താരതമ്യം ചെയ്യുമ്പോള്‍ 12.53 ശതമാനം വര്‍ദ്ധനവാണിത്.

ചരക്ക് നീക്കത്തിലൂടെ 2012 ഏപ്രില്‍ ഒന്നു മുതല്‍ ഒക്‌ടോബര്‍ 31 വരെ 47350.71 കോടി രൂപ വരുമാനം നേടിയപ്പോള്‍ ഈ വര്‍ഷം ഇതേ കാലയളവില്‍ 51876.33 കോടി രൂപയായി ഇതു വര്‍ദ്ധിച്ചു. 9.56 ശതമാനം വര്‍ദ്ധനവാണിത് സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്.

യാത്രാ വരുമാനത്തിലൂടെ 2013 ഏപ്രില്‍ 1 മുതല്‍ ഒക്‌ടോബര്‍ 31 വരെയുള്ള കാലയളവില്‍ 21247.79 കോടി രൂപ വരുമാനമുണ്ടായി. കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷം ഇതേ കാലയളവില്‍ നേടിയ 18017.23 കോടി രൂപയുമായി താരതമ്യപ്പെടുത്തുമ്പോള്‍ 17.93 ശതമാനം അധികമാണിത്.

എന്നാല്‍ യാത്രക്കാരുടെ എണ്ണത്തില്‍ ഇക്കാലയളവില്‍ 0.60 ശതമാനം കുറവുണ്ടായി. 2013 ഏപ്രില്‍ 1 മുതല്‍ ഒക്‌ടോബര്‍ 31 വരെയുള്ള കാലയളവില്‍ 4967.26 ദശലക്ഷം പേര്‍ യാത്ര ചെയ്തപ്പോള്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞവര്‍ഷം ഇതേ കാലയളവില്‍ 4997.36 ദശലക്ഷം പേരാണ് ട്രെയിനില്‍ യാത്ര ചെയ്തത്.
