2014 അവസാനത്തോടെ മൊബൈല് കണക്ഷനുകള് ലോക ജനസംഖ്യയെ കവച്ചുവെക്കുമെന്ന് റിപോര്ട്ട്. യു.എന്നിന്െറ ഭാഗമായ ഇന്റര്നാഷനല് ടെലികമ്മ്യൂണിക്കേഷന് റിപോര്ട്ട് അനുസരിച്ച് 2014ന്െറ തുടക്കത്തിലേ മൊബൈല് കണക്ഷനുകളുടെ എണ്ണം ഏഴ് ബില്യണ് കടക്കും.
നിലവില് 7.1 ബില്യണാണ് ലോക ജനസംഖ്യ. 6.8 ബില്യണ് മൊബൈല് കണക്ഷനുകളാണ് നിലവില് ലോകത്ത് ഉള്ളത്. ജനസംഖ്യയുടെ മൂന്നിലൊരു ഭാഗവും ഓണ്ലൈന് സേവനങ്ങള് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നവരാണെന്നും റിപോര്ട്ട് പറയുന്നു.
പഴയ സോവിയറ്റ് യൂനിയന് രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടായ്മയായ കോമണ്വെല്ത്ത് ഓഫ് ഇന്ഡിപ്പെന്ഡന്റ് സ്റ്റേറ്റ്സിലാണ് കൂടുതല് മൊബൈല് കണക്ഷനുകള് ഉള്ളത്. ഒരാള്ക്ക് ഇവിടെ 1.7 മൊബൈല് കണക്ഷനുകളാണുള്ളത്. ആഫ്രിക്കയിലാണ് ഏറ്റവും കുറവ് മൊബൈല് കണക്ഷനുകള്. 100 പേര്ക്ക് 63 മൊബൈല് കണക്ഷനുകളാണ് ഉള്ളത്. വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം, ആരോഗ്യം, സര്ക്കാര്,ബാങ്കിംഗ്, എന്വയേണ്മെന്റ് ബിസിനസ് സേവനങ്ങള് മൊബൈലുകളിലൂടെ നല്ക്കുന്നത് ഉപകാരപ്രദമാണ്.
ലോക ജനസംഖ്യയില് 2.7 ബില്യണ് ആളുകളാണ് ഓണ്ലൈന് സേവനങ്ങള് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതെന്നും റിപോര്ട്ട് പറയുന്നു. യൂറോപ്പാണ് ഇതില് ഒന്നാമത്,75 ശതമാനം. 61 ശതമാനവുമായി അമേരിക്ക രണ്ടാമതും 32 ശതമാനവുമായി ഏഷ്യ മൂന്നാമതും ഉണ്ട്. ഏറ്റവും അവസാന സ്ഥാനത്തുള്ള ആഫ്രിക്കയില് 16 ശതമാനം പേരാണ് ഓണ്ലൈന് സേവനങ്ങള് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്.
