ജയ്പൂര്‍: (www.kvartha.com 31/05/2017) പശുവിനെ ദേശീയ മൃഗമായി പ്രഖ്യാപികാണമെന്നു രാജസ്ഥാന്‍ ഹൈക്കോടതി. പശുക്കളെ കൊല്ലുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് മൂന്നുവര്‍ഷം തടവാണ് നിലവില്‍ നല്‍കുന്നത്. ഇതു വര്‍ധിപ്പിച്ച് ജീവപര്യന്തമാക്കണമെന്നു കോടതി അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു.
കന്നുകാലി കശാപ്പ് നിരോധനത്തിനെതിരെ രാജ്യമെമ്പാടും പ്രതിഷേധം ശക്തമാകുന്നതിനിടെ കോടതിയുടെ ഇത്തരത്തിലുള്ള പ്രസ്താവന രാജ്യത്ത് ഏറെ ചര്‍ച്ചയായി കഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ജയ്പൂരിലെ ഒരു പശുപരിപാലന കേന്ദ്രം സംബന്ധിച്ച കേസ് പരിഗണിക്കുമ്പോഴാണ് കോടതി ഇത്തരത്തില്‍ അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടത്.
