ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: (www.kvartha.com 30.09.2015) ഇന്ത്യന്‍ റെയില്‍വേ സ്റ്റേഷനുകളില്‍ വൈഫൈ എത്തിക്കാനുള്ള പദ്ധതിയുടെ പ്രാഥമിക രൂപരേഖ ഗൂഗിള്‍ പുറത്തുവിട്ടു. ആകെ 400 സ്റ്റേഷനുകള്‍ പരിഗണനയിലുണ്ട്. ആദ്യഘട്ടത്തില്‍ 100 റെയില്‍വേ സ്റ്റേഷനുകളാണ് ഗൂഗിള്‍ സൗജന്യ ഇന്റര്‍നെറ്റ് പദ്ധതിയില്‍ വരുക. ഇതില്‍ കേരളത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് കണ്ണൂര്‍, കൊച്ചി, തിരുവനന്തപുരം തൃശൂര്‍ കൊല്ലം എന്നീ സ്‌റ്റേഷനുകളെ പരിഗണിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
മുഴുനീള സിനിമകള്‍ നാലു മിനിറ്റ് കൊണ്ടു ഡൗണ്‍ലോഡ് ചെയ്യാന്‍ കെല്‍പുള്ള അതിവേഗ വൈഫൈ ഇന്റര്‍നെറ്റ് സേവനമായിരിക്കും ഗൂഗിള്‍ ഒരുക്കുക എന്നാണ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്. ആദ്യ 30 മിനിറ്റ് സൗജന്യമായി ഇന്റര്‍നെറ്റ് ഉപയോഗിക്കാം. അടുത്തമാസം തന്നെ പദ്ധതി ആരംഭിക്കുമെന്നാണ് ഗൂഗിള്‍ പറയുന്നത്.
കാലിഫോര്‍ണിയ സന്ദര്‍ശനത്തിനിടെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയുമായി ചര്‍ച്ച നടത്തിയ ഗൂഗിള്‍ നേതൃത്വം പദ്ധതിയിലുള്ള സന്നദ്ധത വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിരുന്നു.
SUMMARY: Google announced that it will provide high-speed public Wi-Fi in 400 train stations across India. There are five stations from Kerala including Kannur, Thiruvananthapura, Kollam, Thrissur, Kochi. The first outline of the project was announced by google today.
The news comes after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits Google's Mountain View headquarters to champion his Digital India initiative, Google CEO Sundar Pichai wrote in a blog post. In collaboration with Indian Railways—operator of one of the world's largest railway networks—and RailTel—provider of Internet service RailWire via its fiber network—Google's Access and Energy team aims to bring the first stations online "in the coming months" and 100 by the end of 2016, according to Pichai.
