രോഗം ബാധിച്ച് ഒരു മാസം മുമ്പ് ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചവരാണ് മരിച്ചത്. 24 മുതല്‍ 60 വയസ് വരെ പ്രായമുള്ള ഇവര്‍ കിഡ്നി തകരാര്‍ അടക്കം ഗുരുതര പ്രശ്നങ്ങള്‍ മൂലമാണ് മരിച്ചതെന്ന് ആരോഗ്യ വകുപ്പ് അധികൃതര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു.
ഇതിനിടെ ‘മെര്‍സ്’ എന്ന് പേരിട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ശ്വാസകോശ സംബന്ധമായ രോഗം കൂടി കണ്ടെത്തിയതായി ആരോഗ്യ വകുപ്പ് അധികൃതര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു. ഇതുവരെ 38 പേര്‍ ഈ രോഗം ബാധിച്ച് ചികില്‍സയിലുണ്ട്.

The ministry also announced a new case of the respiratory virus called MERS, bringing to 38 the number of those infected in the kingdom. It identified the afflicted person only as a 61yearold suffering from renal failure from the Al Ahsa region where the outbreak in a health care facility started in April.
