ന്യൂദല്‍ഹി: വിമാനയാത്രക്കാര്‍ക്കായി നല്‍കുന്ന സേവനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് പ്രത്യേകം നിരക്ക് ഈടാക്കാന്‍ കേന്ദ്ര വ്യോമയാന മന്ത്രാലയം അനുമതി നല്‍കി. ബാഗേജ് ചെക്ക് ഇന്‍, ഭക്ഷണം, സീറ്റുകള്‍ അനുവദിക്കുന്നതിലെ മുന്‍ഗണന തുടങ്ങിയ സേവനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വേറിട്ട നിരക്ക് ഈടാക്കാനാണ് കേന്ദ്ര മന്ത്രാലയം പ്രാദേശിക വിമാനകമ്പനികള്‍ക്ക് അനുമതി നല്‍കിയത്. ഇതുവഴി അടിസ്ഥാന നിരക്കിനൊപ്പം യാത്രക്കാര്‍ക്ക് ആവശ്യമുള്ള സേവനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മാത്രം പണം നല്‍കിയാല്‍ മതി. കുറഞ്ഞ സേവനങ്ങള്‍ വേണ്ടവര്‍ക്ക് ഇതുവഴി കുറഞ്ഞ നിരക്ക് മാത്രം നല്‍കിയാല്‍ മതി.
വെള്ളമൊഴിച്ചുള്ള ഭക്ഷണം, എയര്‍ലൈന്‍ കമ്പനികളുടെ ലോഞ്ച് ഉപയോഗം, പ്രത്യേക ലഗേജുകള്‍ കൊണ്ടുപോകല്‍ തുടങ്ങിയവയാണ് നിരക്ക് ഈടാക്കുന്ന മറ്റുസേവനങ്ങള്‍. സേവനങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടിക എല്ലാ ആറുമാസവും പുന:പരിശോധിക്കുമെന്നും വ്യോമയാന മന്ത്രാലയം അറിയിച്ചു.
കുറഞ്ഞ നിരക്കില്‍ യാത്ര ചെയ്യാന്‍ അവസരമൊരുക്കുന്നതിനൊപ്പം സേവനങ്ങള്‍ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നതില്‍ യാത്രക്കാരന് സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം നല്‍കുകയുമാണ് പുതിയ തീരുമാനത്തിന്‍െറ ലക്ഷ്യമെന്ന് വ്യോമയാനമന്ത്രാലയം അധികൃതര്‍ പത്രക്കുറിപ്പില്‍ അറിയിച്ചു.
ബഡ്ജറ്റ് എയര്‍ലൈനുകളായ എയര്‍ഏഷ്യ, റയാന്‍ എയര്‍, ഈസിജെറ്റ് എന്നിവ നിലവില്‍ സേവനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് പ്രത്യേക നിരക്കാണ് ഈടാക്കുന്നത്. പുതിയ തീരുമാനം രാജ്യത്ത് നിലവിലുള്ള ബഡ്ജറ്റ് എയര്‍ലൈന്‍ കമ്പനികള്‍ക്കും ഏറെ സഹായകരമാകുമെന്ന് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

The move allows airlines to keep a lower base fare and give passengers the flexibility to pay for services they need, thereby reducing the overall cost of travel, the ministry said.
The list of services that have been unbundled and can be charged for separately include preferential seating, meals and drinks except water, usage of airlines' lounges, carrying checkin baggage, sports equipment carriage, musical instrument carriage and luggage specially declared valuable. The list of services will be reviewed by the ministry after six months.
