ലക്‌നൗ: ഉത്തര്‍പ്രദേശില്‍ ഉന്നാവോ ജില്ലയിലെ ദൗണ്ഡിയ ഖേരയില്‍ 1000 ടണ്‍ സ്വര്‍ണം ഉണ്ടെന്ന മുഖ്യ പുരോഹിതന്റെ സ്വപ്‌നം പാഴായി. ദിവസങ്ങളായി പുരാവസ്തു വകുപ്പ് ഖേരയില്‍ നടത്തിവന്ന സ്വര്‍ണ ഖനനം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു. ആഴത്തില്‍ ഖനനം നടത്തിയിട്ടും സ്വര്‍ണം ഉള്ളതിന്റെ യാതൊരു സൂചനയും ലഭിക്കാത്തതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്നാണ് ഒക്‌ടോബര്‍ 18ന് ആരംഭിച്ച ഖനനം അവസാനിപ്പിച്ചത്.
ചില മണ്‍പാത്രങ്ങളുടെ അവശിഷ്ടങ്ങള്‍ മാത്രമാണ് ഇവിടെ ലഭിച്ചത്. ഇവ ബുദ്ധകാലത്ത് ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നതാണെന്ന് പുരാവസ്തു വകുപ്പ് അധികൃതര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. ബ്രിട്ടീഷുകാര്‍ക്കെതിരേ പോരാടിയതിന് തൂക്കിക്കൊന്ന രാജാ റാവു റാം ബക്‌സ് സിങ്ങിന്റെ കോട്ടവളപ്പിലാണ് 1,000 ടണ്‍ സ്വര്‍ണം കുഴിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന് സന്യാസിയായ ശോഭന്‍ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയത്.
ഇതേതുടര്‍ന്നാണ് ഇവിടെ പുരാവസ്തു വകുപ്പ് ഖനനം ആരംഭിച്ചത്. കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രി ചരണ്‍ ദാസ് മഹന്ദാണ് ഖനനം നടത്താനായി നിര്‍ദേശം നല്‍കിയത്. കുഴിച്ചിട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന സ്വര്‍ണം സര്‍ക്കാരിനു കൈമാറാന്‍ രാജാ റാവു റാം ബക്‌സ് സിംഗ് സ്വപ്നത്തില്‍ തന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞുവെന്നും സന്യാസി വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു.
