ഡെറാഡൂണ്‍: ഉത്തരഖണ്ഡ് പ്രളയത്തില്‍ മരിച്ചവരുടെ എണ്ണം പതിനായിരം കവിയുമെന്ന സ്പീക്കറുടെ പ്രസ്താവന ഏകദേശ കണക്ക് മാത്രമാണെന്ന് സംസ്ഥാന ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി സുരീന്ദര്‍ സിംഗ് നേഗി. മരിച്ചവരുടെ എണ്ണം സംബന്ധിച്ച് ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഉറപ്പിച്ച് പറയാനാകില്ല. അവശിഷ്ടങ്ങള്‍ക്കിടയിലും മറ്റും എത്രപേര്‍ കുടുങ്ങികിടക്കുന്നുണ്ട് എന്നത് വ്യക്തമല്ല.
ചിലപ്പോള്‍ മരണസംഖ്യ പതിനായിരത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് കൂടാനും കുറയാനും സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്നും ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. മരണസംഖ്യ പതിനായിരം കവിയുമെന്ന സ്പീക്കര്‍ ഗോവിന്ദ് സിംഗ് കുഞ്ജ്വാലിന്‍െറ പ്രസ്താവന ഏറെ വിവാദങ്ങള്‍ക്കിടയാക്കിയിരുന്നു. തനിക്ക് ലഭിച്ച വിവരമനനുസരിച്ച് മരണസംഖ്യ 900 ആണെന്നായിരുന്നു കേന്ദ്ര ആഭ്യന്തരമന്ത്രി സുശീല്‍കുമാര്‍ ഷിന്‍ഡെയുടെ പ്രതികരണം. സംസ്ഥാന മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി വിജയ് ബഹുഗുണയും സ്പീക്കറുടെ പ്രസ്താവനക്കെതിരെ രംഗത്തുവന്നിരുന്നു.
